Take a boating Safety Course: Knowing and following "the rules of the road" is basic boating safety. Knowing how to spot danger and how to react are just as important. You could be detained, fined or even worse. You or someone you love could end up in serious danger if you are not prepared for an emergency. Who needs a Pleasure Craft Operator Card? All persons operating a motor vessel 13ft (4 M) in length OR SMALLER must have a card NOW. All persons operating a motor vessel who were born after April 1st 1983 must have a card NOW.
